British Values

Promoting British values – Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural Learning

At Chaddlewood Primary School, we ensure that, through our school ethos, daily school life, relationships, vision, values, rules, curriculum and teaching, we promote tolerance and respect for all cultures, faiths and lifestyles. We value the ethnic backgrounds of all pupils and families and undertake a variety of lessons to celebrate and explore these alongside other cultures in our country.

This approach accords with the concept of 'British values':

  • democracy
  • the rule of law
  • individual liberty
  • mutual respect
  • tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

We believe that we have a duty to prepare our children for life in modern Britain and to keep them safe.
